Sony has reportedly beefed up protection on the Chicago set of “Justified: City Primeval” following last week’s shooting incident.

Filming on FX’s revival of its highly acclaimed “Justified” series was halted last week after two cars, whose occupants were engaged in a gunfight, smashed through the show’s barricades.

Thankfully no one was injured, including star Timothy Olyphant who was reportedly present at the time of the incident. Production was briefly shut down before resuming yesterday.

Now a trained hostage negotiator has reportedly arrived along with his team, which includes former Navy SEALs and Army Rangers, to focus primarily on future locations to make them as safe as possible for filming.

The team will work in concert with production’s existing security team and the Chicago Police Department. Additional precautions have been made for local crew members who don’t want to drive to set.

There are reportedly only a few more weeks of filming in Chicago for the eight-episode limited series.
