Blumhouse Television and Paper Pictures have acquired the film rights to “The Girl on the Train” author Paula Hawkins’ 2022 novella “Blind Spot”.
The plan is to develop the work into a streaming feature character-driven thriller with talent currently being sought to adapt the property.
The story follows Edie, Jake and Ryan, three friends with an unbreakable bond since childhood and sharing a past they tried hard to leave behind.
When Jake is brutally murdered and Ryan is accused, a grief-stricken Edie finds herself alone for the first time – and someone has been watching and waiting for this moment.
