Five Days at Memorial
Apple TV+ has set an August 12th launch for John Ridley and Carlton Cuse’s limited series “Five Days at Memorial”. The first three episodes debut that date with weekly episodes after that running through September 16th.
The series chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a New Orleans hospital. Exhausted caregivers at Memorial Medical Center were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come. Vera Farmiga, Robert Pine, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery and W. Bad Sisters
Apple TV+ has set an August 19th launch for its Ireland-set darkly comic thriller series “Bad Sisters” starring Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, Eve Hewson, Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson and Daryl McCormack.
The series follows the lives of the Garvey sisters, who are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise always to protect one another. The series will premiere with two episodes and will run through October 14th. [Source: Apple TV+]
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin
HBO Max has revealed the teaser trailer and set a July 28th premiere date for the spin-off series “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”.
In the series a group of disparate teen girls find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago… as well as their own.
Scavengers Reign
HBO Max has ordered the adult animated sci-fi drama “Scavengers Reign” to series with the show to premiere in 2023. The series is co-created and executive produced by animators, writers, and directors Joe Bennett and Charles Huettner.
The story follows the surviving crew of a damaged deep space freighter who are stranded on a beautiful yet unforgiving planet. They begin to learn the true nature of this planet as they try to survive long enough to escape or be rescued.
Entergalactic
Kid Cudi and Kenya Barris’ animated series “Entergalactic” has locked down a September 30th premiere date on Netflix. Kid Cudi voices Jabari, a young artist as he attempts to balance love and success in New York.
Jessica Williams Timothée Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Laura Harrier, Vanessa Hudgens, Christopher Abbott, 070 Shake, Jaden Smith, Keith David, Teyana Taylor, Arturo Castro, and Macaulay Culkin co-star.
