Two highly-anticipated video game titles scored brief, but important updates today.
First up, the remake of the iconic sci-fi horror franchise “Dead Space” has set a release date with the title coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on January 27th.
The game follows Isaac Clarke, an everyman engineer on a mission to find and fix the USG Ishimura – a ‘planet cracker’ mining starship that has gone silent.
Onboard the Ishimura, a living nightmare awaits as the ship’s crew has been slaughtered and turned into grotesque monstrosities due to an alien artifact.
The game’s developers have been consistently releasing developer videos showcasing improvements to the various systems from lighting and character models to more immersive environments, visual effects and audio.
There’s also a new “dynamic flesh peeling system” which sounds fitting, and so far the game is well on track to meet that release date.
Meanwhile Grubbsnax is reporting that the upcoming sequel to “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” will be titled “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”. The same outlet claimed earlier in the year that the game was coming to PC, PS5 and Series X|S consoles only sometime in 2023.
