Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoe Chao will all reprise their roles for the second season of the Apple TV+ murder-mystery comedy series “The Afterparty”.
In addition, seven new actors will be filling out the major roles – Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Poppy Liu, Paul Walter Hauser, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu.
The eight-episode first season revolved around the murder of a pop singer (Dave Franco) as a group of former high school classmates gathered for an afterparty following their fifteen-year reunion.
Each episode was told from the point of view of a different character and in a different genre style. First season cast members also included Ben Schwartz, Ike Barinholtz, Ilana Glazer and Jamie Demetriou.
The second season will run for ten episodes and will find Haddish’s Detective Danner investigating a murder that takes place at a wedding. Richardson and Chao will reprise their Aniq and Zoe roles.
Chris Miller and Phil Lord executive produce while Anthony King (“Search Party”) will serve as co-showrunner with Miller on season two at TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television.
