CinemaCon is underway in Las Vegas and Sony Pictures is the first major studio offering a look at its upcoming wares along with making some key announcements.

First up, studio chief Tom Rothman confirms that a third “Venom” and another entry (the fifth overall) in the “Ghostbusters” franchise are on the way but there are no further details as to what to expect from either title which are obviously in the early stages.

The new “Venom” follows on from the $856 million and $502 million global hauls of the two previous Tom Hardy-led films.

Sony also teased a reel of its upcoming films including Marvel and Sony’s “Kraven the Hunter,” the Adam Driver-led “65,” the George Foreman biopic, the Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and the planned third “Equalizer”.
