“Captain Marvel” actress Brie Larson has joined the “Fast & Furious” family at Universal Pictures.
Franchise star and producer Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in the movies, appeared on Instagram on Saturday to share a photo of himself with Oscar winner Larson as both get chummy and smile.
In the caption, Diesel: “What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast 10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.”
Larson joins a cast that includes Jason Momoa also making his debut in the franchise as a villain character who works alongside Charlize Theron’s Cypher.
Justin Lin directs the new film which is scheduled for release on May 19th 2023.
