As part of a Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Event held in Tokyo yesterday, Disney and Square Enix have announced “Kingdom Hearts IV” which marks the beginning of an epic new storyline dubbed the ‘Lost Master Arc’.
Players are introduced to the expansive city of Quadratum, and the new entry marks the return of Sora’s Disney companions Donald and Goofy in addition to the first appearance of the mysterious new character Strelitzia.
Square Enix has also announced a mobile spin-off “Kingdom Hearts Missing Link”. No potential release window or platforms for either title have been specified.
The series has shipped over 33 million units to date, with this marking the first entry since “Kingdom Hearts III” in 2019.
