Universal Pictures has premiered the first-look photo of Cillian Murphy for Christopher Nolan’s currently filming biopic thriller feature “Oppenheimer”.
The full main cast list has also been released with several more names joining Murphy. They include Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich, Michael Angarano and Kenneth Branagh.
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “American Prometheus,” Murphy stars as the theoretical physicist whose work on the Manhattan Project led to the invention of the atomic bomb. Nolan is directing from his own script, with production taking place from this month in New Mexico ahead of a July 21st 2023 release.
