Apple TV+ has reportedly won a major auction for the contemporary Los Angeles-set private detective-themed TV series “Sugar” which has Colin Farrell attached to star.
Plot details are under wraps but the project hails from Mark Protosevich (“Thor,” “I Am Legend”) with both him and Farrell executive producing along with Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon and Scott Greenberg.
The project is separate from the deal Farrell has made to star in an HBO Max limited series spinoff that will move the Penguin character he will play in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” to the prestige cabler.
