“Call of Duty” & “Halo: Infinite” Small Delays

Call Of Duty Halo Infinite Small Delays
Activision & Microsoft

Activision has announced that ‘Caldera,’ the new map replacing Verdansk in the freshly retitled “Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific,” has been delayed and will now release on December 8th for “Call of Duty: Vanguard” owners.

The timing is interesting as it’s the same day that rival shooter “Halo Infinite” is officially launched. The “Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific” free-to-play launch kicks off the next day on December 9th with the first season of “Call of Duty: Vanguard”.

The refresh will fully integrate with all players’ progression, items, and loadouts from the previous ‘Black Ops Cold War’ and ‘Modern Warfare’ updates of Warzone.

“Call of Duty: Vanguard” is in need of a boost it seems as NME reports that the game’s UK launch was 40% down on last year’s “Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” and the lowest of any series entry since 2007.

“Halo Infinite” meanwhile released its free-to-play multiplayer mode this week in beta form with the final version, and the game’s campaign mode, releasing on December 8th.

Microsoft’s game managed to score more than 270,000 concurrent players on Steam in the past day or so.

343 Industries is also extending its planned rollout of the game’s first season to May 2022 with the delay being made to “ensure Season 2 meets our high-quality bar.”

The game won’t have campaign co-op or Forge at launch with those expected to come in seasons two and three respectively.
