Timothy Olyphant has scored a recurring role in Amazon’s ten-episode musical drama “Daisy Jones & The Six” based on the Taylor Jenkins Reid novel.
The series follows the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band in the 1970s. Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Will Harrison, Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Nabiya Be, Sebastian Chacon and Tom Wright co-star.
Olyphant will play Rod, the loud, brash and outspoken road manager who encourages the Dunne Brothers band to move from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles.
As they become the Six and their star rises, it falls to Rod to keep the personal conflicts of the band from breaking them apart.
Will Graham serves as co-showrunner alongside executive producers Scott Neustadter. Reese Witherspoon, Brad Mendelsohn and Lauren Neustadter also executive produce.
Michael H. Weber and Neustadter adapted the book while James Ponsoldt will direct the first five episodes.
