Timothee Chalamet (“Dune,” “Call Me By Your Name”) has posted a first look photo of himself as a young version of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka in the upcoming “Wonka” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film serves as a prequel to Roald Dahl’s novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and will follow the young Wonka before he set up his famous chocolate factory.
The project is being spearheaded by “Paddington 2” director/co-writer Paul King and co-writer Simon Farnaby with filming underway at Leavesden studios.
Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman and Jim Carter co-star. Lindy Hemming (“The Dark Knight,” “Wonder Woman”) created the costume for the film which will hit cinemas on March 17th 2023.
