One of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises is entering the battle royale genre with the upcoming “Ghost Recon Frontline” which has been announced.

Revealed during a 20th Anniversary Showcase on Tuesday the title has been in development at Ubisoft Bucharest for three years. The plan is to feature a variety of multiplayer game modes with battle royale to be the largest.

Called Expedition, the mode will split up 100 or so players into teams of three, and drop them onto a giant map called Drakemoor to compete against one another. Players will have to collect various intel before calling for extraction from the map.

According to the publisher, players in Europe will be able to test out the game on PC starting on October 14th. When the game eventually does release, it will be crossplay-enabled and come to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Luna, and PC.
