Owen Wilson is set to join LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish in the cast of Disney’s live-action family adventure “Haunted Mansion” based on the signature theme park rides.
Justin Simien (“Dear White People,” “Bad Hair”) directs from a script by Katie Dippold in this ensemble film that will follow a family that moves into the titular mansion. Further story details are under wraps.
Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich (“Aladdin”) produce and filming begins in Atlanta in October. Wilson is having a bit of a comeback following his turn in “Loki” and the upcoming “The French Dispatch” and “Marry Me”.
Speaking of the Haunted Mansion, a new poster is out for “Muppets Haunted Mansion” which will arrive on Disney+ on October 8th. The special sees Gonzo dared to stay one night within the spooky ride.
