CD Projekt Red’s infamously buggy “Cyberpunk 2077” is available once again on the PlayStation Store.
A full six months after being pulled from the store by the gaming giant, the title has now been put back on sale and is available for purchase on Sony systems.
The game’s Twitter account says: “You can play the game on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5. Additionally, a free next-gen upgrade will be available for all owners of the PS4 version of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ in the second half of 2021.”
The game’s account also advises don’t get this game if you have a regular PS4: “Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms. The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best experience on PlayStation.”
Sony itself has added a note to the store page for the game, saying: “Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems.”
An optimized-for-next-gen PS5 and Xbox SX version of the game is set for release in the second half of this year and owners of the currently available versions will be able to claim a free upgrade to those new versions when they arrive. No specifics of a date for that are available.
