“Iron Fist” and “Love and Monsters” alum Jessica Henwick is the latest to join the cast of Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” sequel at Netflix. Filming begins this summer in Greece.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar
Mondo has announced it will release a vinyl soundtrack for one of the year’s best so far – the sublimely ridiculous “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar”. The title will be available for pre-order from tomorrow.

The vinyl features notable numbers from Jamie Dornan’s “Edgar’s Prayer,” The Math Club’s dance remix of “My Heart Will Go On,” the cast’s “Palm Vista Hotel” song, multiple versions of Richard Cheese’s “I Love Boobies,” and the original score by Christopher Lennertz and Dara Taylor. Columbia Classics 4K
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed that it will debut six more of its classic films restored on 4K Ultra HD disc for the first time as part of the second volume of its Columbia Classics collection releasing September 14th.

The new ones will include “The Social Network,” “Taxi Driver,” “Sense and Sensibility,” “Anatomy of a Murder,” “Oliver!” and “Stripes.” The set will also include an exclusive Blu-ray bonus disc that will feature twenty short films from the Columbia Pictures library. [Source: Variety]

Code 8
Cousins Stephen and Robbie Amell have sold the sequel to their sci-fi thriller “Code 8” to Netflix. This marks Netflix’s first English language original feature from Canada. Jeff Chan helms “Code 8: Part II” which is set to shoot in Canada later this year.

The story sees a teenage girl with abnormal abilities who, after witnessing the murder of her brother, seeks the help of an ex-con (Robbie Amell) and his former partner-in-crime (Stephen Amell) to face a unit of corrupt police officers. [Source: THR]

Immortal
Paul Anderson (“Peaky Blinders”) will star in the WWII action feature “Immortal” from Finnish director Jalmari Helander (“Rare Exports,” “Big Game”). Filming begins in September.

Jorma Tommila plays an ex-soldier in 1945 who discovers gold in the deep wilderness of Lapland. When he attempts to take his loot into the city, a squadron of Nazi soldiers led by a brutal SS officer (Anderson) get in his way and a battle for the gold ensues between the lone soldier and the Nazis.
