Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play controversial former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick in the anthology drama series “Super Pumped” at Showtime.
The first season will deal with Uber and Kalanick’s meteoric rise in Silicon Valley, the company’s wild ride and Kalanick’s eventual exit amid allegations of sexual harassment and a toxic work environment.
Each season will delve into a story that rocked the business world and changed the wider culture with this first one based on the book by Mike Isaac.
The project hails from “Billions” creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien and Beth Schacter (“Quantico”) who will all write, executive produce and serve as showrunners. Paul Schiff, Stephen Schiff and Allyce Ozarski also executive produce.
