Tomb Raider: Obsidian
Writer/director Misha Green has revealed that “Tomb Raider: Obsidian” is the current working title of MGM’s upcoming sequel to the Alicia Vikander-led reboot of that franchise. Green also revealed that the project has some way to go before even filming as she recently finished the first draft. [Source: Twitter]

Nine Perfect Strangers
Amazon Prime Video has taken the global rights (outside of the U.S. and China) to the Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Michael Shannon and Samara Weaving-led eight-part limited series “Nine Perfect Strangers” which will air on Hulu in the United States from August 18th.

Based on a novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, the story follows nine stressed city dwellers who seek healing and transformation at a wellness resort run by Masha (Kidman). Trouble is, these strangers have no idea what is about to hit them. [Source: Deadline]

Space Jam: A New Legacy
A new TV spot for the sports comedy “Space Jam: A New Legacy” has been released by Warner Bros. Pictures. The promo arrives online during last night’s MTV TV and Movie Awards.

The Lebron James-led film, which also has a cameo from Michael Jordan in an “unexpected” way according to actor Don Cheadle, is scheduled to make its debut on July 16th in theaters and on HBO Max.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Jones Origins
A new featurette is out for “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins” which explores the history of the ninja warrior character played by Henry Golding. The clip also touches upon Larry Hama’s comic “The Silent Interlude” which played a big part in the character’s backstory. The film itself hits cinemas on July 23rd.

F9: The Fast Saga
Universal Pictures has released a new featurette for Justin Lin’s “F9: The Fast Saga,” one which looks back at the previous eight installments. The featurette contains old clips from the various movies and the original cast including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and the late Paul Walker. The new film hits cinemas on June 25th.
