After ten years, Spike Video Game Awards have rebranded themselves the ‘VGX’ in an effort to give the show more legitimacy and respectability.
The three hour broadcast will air live on December 7th from 6pm US-EST across multiple platforms. Despite the classier name change, the show will still include bunch of world premiere game trailers and brand new content (including extended demos) from upcoming titles.
Today, the nominees for this year’s awards were announced with the lion’s share garnered by “Grand Theft Auto V” (9 noms), “Bioshock Infinite” (8 noms), “The Last of Us” (7 noms) and “Tomb Raider” (5 noms). Here’s the full list:
