Former “Game of Thrones,” “Rome,” “Carnival Row” and “For Life” actress Indira Varma will star opposite Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen in the upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” event series for the Disney+ streaming service.
McGregor and Christiansen are reprising their “Star Wars” prequel trilogy roles as Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi and former pupil turned Sith lord Darth Vader respectively.
Details about Varma’s character aren’t being released. The series is expected to take place around 8-10 years after the events of ‘Revenge of the Sith’ – around the same time “Solo: A Star Wars Story” was set.
“John Wick: Chapter 3” and “Underground” producer Joby Harold is writing the show while Deborah Chow (“The Mandalorian”) is set to direct.
