The first set photos for “Thor: Love and Thunder” have popped up online showing off Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and Karen Gillan’s Nebula in costume (or partial costume) shooting scenes.
Production on the Taika Waititi-directed fourth film in the “Thor” franchise as Marvel Studios has just gotten underway in Sydney where it will shoot for much of the next few months ahead of a May 2022 release.
The photos confirm Hemsworth will lose his ‘burly’ Thor look from “Avengers: Endgame” at some point in the film. The Australian actor has been getting into even more buff than usual shape in readiness for his role in a Hulk Hogan biopic to shoot later.
He also appears to be wearing some kind of rock and roll outfit, while Star Lord’s usual armor has had some refinements to its coloring and shoulders.
Joining them are Christian Bale as villain Gorr the God Butcher along with returning “Thor” actors Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Jamie Alexander among others.
