Sony Pictures Television has begun development of a limited series adaptation of Robin Wasserman’s novel “Mother Daughter Widow Wife”. Wasserman is attached to write.
The story revolves around a woman found on a bus with no ID or memory of who she is. She becomes the obsession of a world-renowned psychiatrist, his lover and ambitious student, and the daughter she left behind. [Source: Deadline]
Hope
Oscar and Emmy winner Nicole Kidman is teaming with Amazon to star in and executive produce a series adaptation of Maria Sodahl’s 2019 Norwegian feature “Hope”.
The film centered on the relationship between artist-partners Tomas and Anja as their lives go on the line when the latter is diagnosed with brain cancer. The series will center on the central family over 12 days spent together during the Christmas season [Source: The Live Feed]
Shadow and Bone
Netflix’s eight-episode fantasy drama series “Shadow and Bone,” based on author Leigh Bardugo’s trilogy of the same name, will premiere April 23rd.
The story follows a lowly soldier and orphan Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li) with newfound powers who tries to save her home from a powerful, evil Shadow Fold. She trains with an elite army of magical soldiers to hone her powers. Freddy Carter, Ben Barnes, Archie Renaux and Amita Suman co-star.
