God of War: Laufey
PlayStation and Santa Monica Studios have announced a February 16th 2027 release date for “God of War: Laufey,” the upcoming Deborah Ann Woll-led next entry in the “God of War” franchise following ‘Ragnarok’.
It joins what is looking to be an incredibly packed February which also has the “Fable” reboot, “Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis,” “Persona 4 Revival,” and “Metro 2039” releasing. [Source: Sony]
Chuck Russell
“A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors,” “Eraser,” “The Mask” and the 1988 version of “The Blob” filmmaker Chuck Russell has died. He was 74. Russell died unexpectedly Wednesday at his home in a San Diego suburb. In addition to his wife of nearly 19 years, survivors include his children, Logan, Riley and Carlyn, and his sister, Anne. President Curtis
“Rick and Morty” spinoff series “President Curtis” has already been renewed for a second season that is currently in production, according to the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday.
Keith David leads the voice cast as President Andre Curtis for the project that premieres its first season this Sunday immediately following the season nine finale of “Rick and Morty”. Episodes are set to stream the following day on HBO Max. [Source: THR]
Bucking Fastard
A first look clip is out from Werner Herzog‘s long-gestating project ‘Bucking Fastard” starring sisters Kate Mara and Rooney Mara on screen together for the first time.
The pair play Jean and Joan Holbrooke, two sisters who share such an intimate bond that they speak in unison – specifically during the course of a criminal trial. It marks Herzog’s first narrative feature in seven years and also stars Orlando Bloom and Domhnall Gleeson.
