The second season doesn’t arrive until next year, but Netflix has reportedly already renewed its fantasy drama “Locke & Key” for a third season.
Production on the second season is expected to wrap this week in Toronto, and there won’t be much downtime as filming on the third will kick off early in 2021.
In addition to that, co-showrunner Meredith Averill has signed an overall deal with Netflix for television and other projects.
The streaming giant has also renewed its romance drama series “Virgin River,” based on Robyn Carr’s book series, for a ten-episode third season. Zibby Allen (“The Flash”) will join the cast as new series regular, and Stacey Farber (“Saving Hope”) has landed a recurring role.
