Lochlyn Munro (“Riverdale”), Chukwudi Iwuji (“Underground Railroad”), Annie Chang (“Hard Sell”) and TV veteran Christopher Heyerdahl (“Hell on Wheels”) have joined James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” spin-off series “Peacemaker” at HBO Max.
Gunn is writing the series and directing several of the episodes, with John Cena reprising his role of DC character Christopher Smith/Peacemaker. He is a man who “believes in peace at any cost – no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.”
Munro and Chang play detectives and Heyerdahl a police captain. Iwuji plays a man named Clemson Murn. The new group join Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland and Chris Conrad who are already set.
The adventure-comedy series begins shooting in Vancouver in January with Gunn and Peter Safran executive producing.
