Leto May Play WeCrashed CEO For Apple

Oscar-winner Jared Leto is in early discussions to star in the series “WeCrashed” for the Apple TV+ service.

An adaptation of the popular podcast, the series tells the story of shared-workplace startup venture WeWork and its founders – a company once valued at $47 billion and all ready for a huge IPO with its charismatic CEO Adam Neumann (Leto)

However, when its paperwork was disclosed, the company faced intense scrutiny of its finances and leadership from investors and the media. In one month its valuation fell to $US10 billion. The IPO was delayed and Neumann stepped down from his role as CEO within a few weeks.

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (“Crazy Stupid Love,” “This Is Us”) are slated to direct. Leto will be seen in “The Little Things,” “Morbius” and “Gucci” next year and is developing a “Tron: Legacy” sequel.
