“I, Tonya” director Craig Gillespie is re-teaming with Marvel actor Sebastian Stan for an unexpected new project – an eight-episode limited series about celebrity couple Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee and arguably the most famous celebrity sex tape ever made.
Going by the working title “Pam & Tommy” and being penned by Rob Siegel, the project will co-star Lily James and Seth Rogen. Rogen also serves as producer alongside regular collaborator Evan Goldberg, while Gillespie directs.
James plays the famed “Baywatch” star and Stan her then Motley Crue drummer husband Tommy Lee Jones who were mostly known for both marital drama and a notorious celebrity sex tape widely circulated in the early days of the Internet.
The series will focus on the tape and claims of domestic abuse against Tommy Lee. Rogen will play the man who steals the tape. Shooting kicks off Spring 2021.
