“Spider-Man” PS5 Game Post Teases Team-Up

The upcoming PS5 launch title “Spider-Man: Miles Morales” is being pegged as a shorter standalone spin-off of Insomniac Games’ “Marvel’s Spider-Man” for PS4, with the focus on the Miles Morales character.

We also know that Peter Parker will return in his own full sequel sometime later, but that doesn’t mean he will be entirely absent from the spin-off.

Insomniac’s Instagram account has posted an ‘in-universe report’ from The Daily Bugle which sees media coverage of there being two Spider-Men swinging around NYC and offers a brief clip of Miles and Peter sharing a Spider-Man team up.

The clip, which you can see below, has raised the question of whether the game will offer some level of co-op gameplay, or at the very least see Peter have a presence in this game – most likely with his ‘new face’ as well.

The replacement of actor John Bubniak’s face with model Ben Jordan’s in the role of Peter for the first game’s remaster led to a swift backlash online with Insomniac’s creative director Brian Intihar later revealing that staff for the company had received serious threats online from users upset over the change.

“Spider-Man: Miles Morales “will hit PS5 at launch on November 12th.
