The Janelle Monae-led time-bending horror film “Antebellum” is skipping a planned domestic theatrical release and will go straight to premium video-on-demand services on September 18t.
The film, which will still be released in some international movie theaters, was expected to debut in cinemas this month.
Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz penned the movie in which she portrays a successful author who finds herself trapped during a time of slavery and must find a way to escape from the horrifying reality.
Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons and Gabourey Sidibe co-star in the film which has also just released its final trailer which you can check out below:
