“Ozark” star Jason Bateman is in early negotiations to direct the Netflix heist feature “Here Comes the Flood”. As of now, those talks are just to direct and not star, though that could change.
“X-Men: Dark Phoenix” scribe Simon Kinberg penned the elevated, character-driven love-story heist feature that plays out in increments. Kinberg and Audrey Chon are producing while Bateman and Michael Costigan would also produce if his deal closes.
Bateman is expected to finish his work on the final season of “Ozark” and then prep ‘Flood’ for filming. This will mark Bateman’s third feature film as a director following “Bad Words” and “The Family Fang”.
