It’s official – Netflix has ordered a sixth and final season of “Lucifer,” and they are adamant this will be the last. The renewal comes ahead of the first half of the fifth season which premieres on August 21st.
Netflix previously previously renewed the series for a fifth season which also was billed as a final season at the time, and so they are now calling the sixth season the “FINAL final” one.
Series star Tom Ellis closed a deal to return as the title character for a sixth season several weeks ago with everyone else already onboard.
That’s not the only renewal at the streamer today as Kenya Barris’ mockumentary sitcom series “#BlackAF” has snagged a second season. Barris stars as an exaggerated version of himself alongside Rashida Jones as his fictional wife.
In the new season, Barris and his family navigate success and explore the struggles of being unapologetically black and wealthy.
