Schrader’s “Card Counter” To Resume Filming

Production on Paul Schrader’s “The Card Counter” starring Oscar Isaac is reportedly set to resume in early July in Mississippi reports Deadline.

Isaac plays William Tell, a former serviceman who lives a spartan existence playing cards before he moves into the world of high-stakes poker.

The project has been on hold since March after a cast member tested positive for COVID-19 just five days out from the end of shoot.

After a week of prep, SAG and the local authorities having cleared the production to resume while coronavirus preventative measures will be implemented to keep cast and crew safe on set.

Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan and Willem Dafoe co-star in the film.
