“Doctor Who” 2020 Special Was Filmed

The BBC has reportedly managed to complete filming on its upcoming “Doctor Who” holiday special, titled ‘Revolution of the Daleks’.

Mandip Gill, who plays companion Yasmin Khan alongside Jodie Whittaker’s The Doctor, tells EW this week that they managed to complete filming of the special just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit and productions were shut down.

She says: “I can confirm that. There is a festive episode. We happened to be quite lucky and fit it in, so that will be exciting.” Fellow companions Graham (Bradley Walsh) and Ryan (Tosin Cole) are expected to leave the series during this special which is targeting a launch around Christmas or New Year.

Speaking of ‘Who’, a special minisode titled “The Best of Days” has been released with Pearl Mackie’s Bill Potts and Matt Lucas’ Nardole returning (only in voice form) offering updates on their respective situations.
