“Hereditary” and “Midsommar” director Ari Aster has revealed that he’s at work on his next feature which he’s dubbing a “nightmare comedy”.
In addition, he says “all I know is that it’s gonna be four hours long” though it’s not clear if he’s joking. Aster was speaking at the Associated Students Program Board at UC Santa Barbara.
This follows on from comments last year where he teased his next project would either be “a zonky nightmare comedy or a big, sickly domestic melodrama”. Whatever the case his film is expected to arrive sometime in 2021.
