With the second season of “The Mandalorian” not hitting until this Fall, the Disney+ streaming service recently announced the eight-episode documentary series “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” which offers a behind the scenes glimpse at the making of the show’s first season.
Today, the service has released the new show’s official trailer. The epidoes showcase the innovative Stagecraft technology heavily used throughout the series and has showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni talking with all the filmmakers involved about their intentions for the show.
Yahoo Movies recently spoke with the series’ main star Pedro Pascal who says it was no surprise to see ‘Baby Yoda’ become the breakout star of the Disney+ series, even as its level of success wasn’t expected:
“I can’t bring myself to lie and be like ‘we had no idea of the sensation that he would be. We never talked about it being a sure thing, but I unconsciously kept to myself that the very first time I saw the image in the illustration during that first meeting, I was like ‘oh my God, people are going to lose their mind over that’… [It’s] a pretty adorable thing.”
“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” premieres on Monday, May 4th with new episodes to stream every Friday.
