The 2008-2012 TNT crime drama series “Leverage” is set to be revived for IMDb TV, the ad-supported streaming service for Amazon. Noah Wyle will serve as the lead and will also direct two of the thirteen episodes.
The story follows reformed crooks using their unique skills to right corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on common citizens.
The new take will include new characters alongside all but one of the original cast members like Beth Riesgraf as Parker, Christian Kane as Eliot Spencer, and Gina Bellman as Sophie Devereaux as regulars. Aldis Hodge will reprise his Alec Hardison role in a recurring capacity, while Timothy Hutton will not be returning.
The first major original series for IMDb TV, the likes of Wyle, Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan-Wilson and Kate Rorick and Dean Devlin will executive produce. Many of the talent involved previously collaborated on “The Librarians” franchise.
