Beloved NBC comedy “Community” is about to do something rarely done these days – it’s going to be available in full on two different streaming services.
Netflix has reportedly struck a non-exclusive 3-4 year deal with Sony Pictures TV for the global SVOD rights to the entire six-season run of “Community” which it will begin showing from April 1st around the globe. However it will also share the domestic rights with Hulu where the show is currently streaming until at least May 2021.
Hulu recently made a similar arrangement for “Community” creator Dan Harmon’s other show “Rick & Morty”. Hulu is the current streaming home for the Adult Swim animated comedy and will remain so even as “Rick and Morty” will also be available, along with the full Adult Swim library, on HBO Max.
