Warners Sets “The Pinkerton” At Bad Robot

Warner Bros. Pictures have acquired “F9: The Fast Saga” scribe Daniel Casey’s spec script “The Pinkerton” which will be produced by J.J. Abrams through his Bad Robot label.

The project is described as a “supernatural revenge-western hybrid” with the title referring to the private security guard and detective agency established in 1850 and at one time were the largest private law enforcement organization in the world at the height of its power.

Pinkerton agents have been key characters or plot elements in films, shows and games like “Deadwood,” “Red Dead Redemption 2,” “American Outlaws,” “3:10 to Yuma,” “The Legend of Zorro,” “The Long Riders,” and “Damnation”.

This project marks the first original feature for Bad Robot since signing a $250 million+ deal with Warners back in September.
