Mel Gibson and Tye Sheridan (“Ready Player One”) have signed on to star in the paramedic drama thriller “Black Flies”.
The story follows a young paramedic (Sheridan) that is teamed up with a grizzled veteran (Gibson) as the older man shows the young buck what it’s like being a paramedic in the inner city.
Ryan King penned the Black List script which is based on a novel by Shannon Burke. “A Prayer Before Dawn” helmer Jean-Stephane Sauvaire will direct and filming is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2019.
