Netflix has revealed the first trailer for the second season of historical anthology drama “Medici” with Sean Bean and “Teen Wolf” alum Daniel Sharman leading the cast.
“Bodyguard” and “Game of Thrones” alum Richard Madden and acting veteran Dustin Hoffman led the cast in the first season and now Madden’s onscreen ‘Thrones’ father, Bean, will play something of an antagonist for the follow-up. The new season returns January 25th.
The Italian drama series is set in 15th century Florence, the new episodes taking place twenty years later at the heart of the Renaissance. Lorenzo the Magnificent assumes leadership of the family-run bank and comes into conflict with the head of Florence’s other powerful banking family, Jacopo de’ Pazzi.
Sarah Parish, Bradley James, Raoul Bova, Alessandra Mastronardi and Julian Sands co-star.
