“Under the Silver Lake” Delayed Six Months

Three weeks out from release, A24 has announced it will push back the release of its neo-noir comedy “Under the Silver Lake” by six months.

David Robert Mitchell (“It Follows”) helms the film about a disenchanted thirtysomething man (Andrew Garfield) and his search for the truth behind the mysterious crimes, murders, and disappearances in his East L.A. neighborhood and a strange woman (Riley Keough) who suddenly vanished from his apartment’s swimming pool.

His journey brings him into contact with all sorts of people – dog killers, aspiring actors, glitter-pop groups, nightlife personalities, It girls, memorabilia hoarders, masked seductresses, homeless gurus, reclusive songwriters, sex workers, wealthy socialites, topless neighbors, and the shadowy billionaires.

The film will now open December 7th, putting it in a prime awards consideration position.
