MGM and “Avengers” filmmakers Anthony & Joe Russo’s AGBO Films label, are teaming up. The brothers are set to serve as ‘spiritual creative architects’ and will co-develop, co-produce and co-finance a number of projects reviving properties in the MGM library.
One of the projects on the table is yet another remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair,” this one with Michael B. Jordan set to star and produce while Matthew Michael Carnahan is penning the script.
Other remakes in the works are new versions of “The Secret Of Nimh,” “The Pink Panther”, “Poltergeist” again, and “It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World”.
The pair’s usual go to scribes Christopher Markus and Steven McFeely are coming along for the new deal and are expected to collaborate with the Russos on the projects. The Russos will next direct the Tom Holland-led adaptation of Nico Walker’s novel “Cherry”.
