Young actor Finn Wolfhard seems to have a thing for 1980s-set supernatural tales. The star of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” was able to slot in a film role between seasons, one which sees him battling another dangerous creature in a story set in the mid-1980s – a film adaptation of Stephen King’s “IT”.
Today new photo has arrived of Wolfhard in costume as the young version of Richie, the self-styled comedian of the Losers club and a role previously played by Seth Green in the 1990 TV mini-series adaptation.
The story deals with a shape-shifting monster who preys on children, and a group of you friends tasked with putting an end to its ancient reign of terror. This first of two planned films follows their first encounter with the creature, whose default form is dubbed Pennywise the Clown, the second will be set in contemporary times with the now grown kids coming together once more.
Andy Muschetti helms the new film which is slated to open in the Fall.
