Harrison Ford is in negotiations to star in a new big-budget adaptation of the classic 1903 Jack London novel “Call of the Wild” for 20th Century Fox.
Should he close the deal, the actor will play prospector John Thornton who braves the Yukon on the hunt for gold during the Klondike gold rush in the 1890s. Clark Gable and Charlton Heston previously played the role on screen.
Chris Sanders (“The Croods”) is directing from a script by Michael Green (“Logan,” “Blade Runner 2049”). Erwin Stoff is producing and filming kicks off in early September.
