First TV Spot For McQueen’s “Widows”

20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises have released a new TV spot for “Shame” and “Hunger” director Steve McQueen’s thriller “Widows”.

A remake of the 1980s Lynda La Plante mini-series, the story begins with an armed robbery gone wrong and the four men involved are killed. The widows they left behind, four women with nothing in common except the debt left behind by their spouses take fate into their own hands and set out to finish the job their husband’s started.

“Gone Girl” writer Gillian Flynn co-wrote the script and the cast includes Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Kaluuya, Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Andre Holland, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Robert Duvall, Garret Dillahunt, Jacki Weaver, Lukas Haas and Carrie Coon. “Widows” arrives in cinemas on November 16th.
