A new report has revealed new details about the casting of Wilson Bethel (“Hart of Dixie”) in a critical role in the third season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” at Netflix.
That Hashtag Show says Bethel’s, who up until this point has been listed as a character named Steve and is an FBI agent is, in fact, going to play the mercenary marksman and assassin Bullseye.
The site speculates this will be an adaptation of the character from writer Jason Aaron’s run on Punisher MAX, which changed Bulleye’s real name to Sheldon Pendergrass.
It’s thought the “Born Again” story arc from the comics, in which Kingpin learns Matt Murdock’s secret identity and systematically dismantles his life, will be the basis of the new season.
Erik Oleson takes over as showrunner with the new episodes expected out at year’s end. A release date will likely be announced with the release of “Luke Cage” S2 on June 22nd.
The report comes as filming on the second season of “Iron Fist” has wrapped after a seven-month shoot. Another report from the same site Curtiss Jackson, a.k.a. The Power Broker, will likely serve as the villain of the third season of “Jessica Jones” which has yet to begin production.
