His Dark Materials
Andrew Scott (“Sherlock,” “Fleabag”) has joined the “His Dark Materials” adaptation at BBC and HBO. Scott will be playing Jopari, aka John Parry, in the upcoming series with the first season to launch later this year. It stars James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Clarke Peters, Ian Gelder, Will Keen and Georgina Campbell.

Also hopping onboard are Anne-Marie Duff as Ma Costa, James Cosmo as Farder Coram, Lucien Msamati as John Faa, Mat Fraser as Raymond Van Geritt, Geoff Bell as Jack Verhoeven, and Simon Manyonda as Benjamin de Ruyter. [Source: Twitter]

Killing Eve
BBC America has announced that production has officially begun on the third season of critically-acclaimed series “Killing Eve” with Dame Harriet Walter (“Succession”) and Danny Sapani joining the cast. Suzanne Heathcote (“Fear the Walking Dead”) will be replacing Emerald Fennell as the new showrunner and lead writer on the third season. [Source: BBCA]

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Amazon Studios has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the third season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” along with setting a December 6th premiere date for the Emmy-winning comedy series.

In the new season, Midge and Susie discover that life on tour with Shy is glamorous but humbling, and they learn a lesson about show business they’ll never forget. Joel struggles to support Midge while pursuing his own dreams. Abe embraces a new mission and Rose learns she has talents of her own.

The Haunting of Hill House
Amblin TV has officially confirmed that “The Haunting of Hill House” will be coming to Blu-ray and DVD on October 15th with the set to include extended versions of the season premiere and finale along with the fifth episode. The set also includes director’s commentary from Flanagan on those same three episodes plus the much talked about sixth episode “Two Storms”. [Source: WBHE]

Sex/Life
Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the dramedy series “Sex/Life” from Stacy Rukeyser (“UnReal”) based on BB Easton’s book “44 Chapters About 4 Men”. The steamy, female-focused dramedy profiles when life and libido collide in the form of a love triangle between a woman, her husband, and her past. Rukeyser serves as showrunner and executive produces with Oscar-winning producer J. Miles Dale and Larry Robins. [Source: Deadline]

Silicon Valley
The trailer is out for the sixth and final season of HBO’s comedy series “Silicon Valley” with the last batch of episodes seemingly revolving around the rise in concern over the security of user’s data within tech giants like Facebook, Google, and Amazon. Thomas Middleditch, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Zach Woods, Amanda Crew, Jimmy O. Yang, and Matt Ross co-star in the series which returns Sunday, October 27th.
