Tom Cavanagh (“Ed”) has signed on to play Ranger Smith in the live-action/CG animated “Yogi Bear” for Warner Bros. Pictures says Variety.
Cavanagh is the male lead and romantic interest of a documentary filmmaker (Anna Faris) who comes to Jellystone Park to shoot a film.
Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake voice the titular character and his sidekick Boo-Boo in the feature based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series.
Eric Brevig directs film from a script by Brad Copeland. Shooting is underway in New Zealand.
