Cameras are filming again on Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew” with additional filming getting underway on Monday at Shepperton Studios.
The extra filming kicks off six months after principal photography wrapped. A source told NarniaWeb this is “additional photography happening, not reshoots.”
They indicate production is expected to last no more than two weeks and the principal cast is not expected to participate.
It marks one of two major upcoming Netflix films getting additional shooting this month – the other being David Fincher’s “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” which is under a tighter clock as it is due out in November.
A report at The InSneider suggests the film “hasn’t been testing as well as Netflix hoped.” A two-hour was reportedly screened with a very rough version of the film that was missing a lot of VFX.
Meryl Streep, Daniel Craig, Emma Mackey, Ciarán Hinds, and Carey Mulligan star in “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew” begins its theatrical run on February 12th 2027 ahead of a Netflix streaming release on April 2nd 2027.
